And I read this chapter for, like, 15 times already... man, I feel so bad not commenting on it properly earlier.
But, better late than never, right?
SO!
"Jonghyun used to stare out of his bedroom window and wonder if there was really someone out there meant for him. Now he would stare out of his bedroom window and think of Kibum."
This got me tearing up like idek.
And this:
"It was harder to keep track of days when one didn’t have a smiling face to look forward to, a kiss, a touch, a simple caress"
Really, I could just feel it with him, as if I were him. Gosh, when you realize you've been living in delusion for such a long time it's so hard to trust the people again.
"Jonghyun definitely hadn’t been expecting to hear that and it only served to anger him because it showed just how little he knew Key, in the end."
God, this hurt me so much too. Especially when I read it for the first time, not knowing yet whether Key was the perfect actor or if he had some other reasons for lying.
TAEMIN IS ONE SMART KID AND I LOVE HIM SO FREAKING MUCH RN YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. UNF.
"The steps creaked under his weight and by the time he reached the third floor, Jonghyun was thinking that there was a serious mistake. There had to be a mistake."
By this time I knew something was totally wrong and that Key couldn't have been using him.
Not gonna lie, Woohyun made me go 'O_____________O ;AASDAFBNAOIE WHAT THEEEEEEEEEE'
THE WHOLE JONGKEY CONVERSATION IS PURE LOVE AND ECSTASY AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE BUT I'VE READ IT SO MANY TIMES I MEMORIZED MOST OF IT.
"“The pay wasn’t as high as I’d hoped and at first I wasn’t planning on staying. But then I couldn’t quit because I’d met you.”
Kibum tilted his head to look at Jonghyun with a sudden small, warm smile on his lips that felt like home and that tore at the elder’s heartstrings"
*first tears slowly coming to my eyes*
"“I also lied a-about one last thing,” he hiccupped through his hands before attempting to wipe his cheeks and eyes on his sleeve, “b-because I didn’t want to seem boring or inexperienced to you.” He looked up at Jonghyun with teary, red eyes and a runny nose but began crying again when he noticed Jonghyun looked just the same. “I-I was a virgin before you.”
*those tears begin to leak*
"Jonghyun was crying but he didn’t care; he leaned in and kissed him. And Kibum kissed back, just as needy."
*Hito is a crying, hopeless mess*
"Jonghyun had never felt quite like he did in that moment, with Kibum - the real Kibum, the one that was honest and hurt and insecure and still so incredibly beautiful - in his arms and with his heart in his throat."
GOD EXACTLY, it's not the bitchy-diva-like-cocky-Kibum, but the vulnerable, defenseless, broken, insecure one. GOD HOW MUCH I WISH I COULD HUG HIM RIGHT THEN
"“I don’t care,” he mumbled between teeth, tears, lips and tongues, “I don’t care,” he spoke again as Kibum kissed him desperately. “I love you.”
*Hito's sight is blurred*
"Kibum broke away from him to look into his eyes, only to see them water again and they were both crying again when Kibum pushed forward for another kiss, this time whispering “I love you, I love you too.”
*Hito oficially lost it, turned into a bawling mess and ruined her make-up*
*not that she regretted anything though*
why the hell am I talking about myself in third person, seriously
The whole rest was just... man, I don't even know how to describe it.
"Kibum let his fingers wander below Jonghyun’s navel, tracing the fine line of hairs there slowly and Jonghyun was finding it so, so distracting."
I love this sentence.

AND ROO OMG
AND THAT PART WHEN JONGHYUN CAME BACK HOME *THEIR HOME*, IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND FLUFFY AND OMG

Jonghyun let his hand wander over his side, fisting it in the younger boy’s shirt as he lifted himself on his elbows to place his mouth next to Key’s ear.
“I love you,” he whispered before sinking back into the mattress against Kibum. Key slowly turned around, one of his hands coming to rest on Jonghyun’s small hip, nose pressing into Jonghyun’s throat. He nuzzled Jonghyun’s jaw and the elder understood at once; he tilted his head to press their lips together. Jonghyun knew what he meant, Kibum didn’t need to say it -
“I love you too.”
GOSH.
"“Doesn’t change the fact that you’re vertically challenged.”
“You suck.”
“Mmm, you would know.” A wink.
“Guys, I’m right here,” Onew sighed."
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA XDDDDDD
The whole ending.... with the:
"But you already know that name, don’t you?"
Made me cry twice as hard as before.

I guess I'll save my conclusion for this fic for my comment in the epilogue.

You pretty much nailed how Jonghyun was feeling and that makes me happy \o/! I'm glad you could understand what he was going through and all ^^ I've done my job haha
The whole story was pretty much playing with the fact that Key was hiding things. So yes. Writing this chapter was awesome because I got to explain everything ^^
Taemin is the perceptive bystander xD that kid... he knows things.
Omg, your reactions are like, so pleasing because they're everything I wanted to convey! Like the feeling that something's not right as soon as Jonghyun sees Key's apartment building. And I used Woohyun on purpose... I'm evil. :D
DUN CRY o.O Not going to lie, that gif sort of really creeps me out.
And I'd want to hug Kibum too... not just when he's sad though lololol
I quite like that sentence too ^^ it's wonderful imagery to have in your head... hihi
Those fluffy scenes were actually written after the rest, like much later. I was on a whim \o/ and I don't regret it.
