It depends on the context, I suppose? I think he was talking about someone who witnessed an incident and then retold it falsely.

I think it would depend on how boring the incident was... coz both fact and fiction can be equally boring or exciting depending on your personal perspective of the subject XD;

Er, I'm not sure I get what you mean orz Why would one lie about it? I mean, if it's boring then it's boring and if it's exciting then it's exciting, why tell it differently? o.o

Because some people like pretending things were much more exciting than they actually were, because there's probably more people out there who want to be interesting than uninteresting. XD;;
