Snow

We have snow at my house. Snow. Like six inches!!!! It's crazy. The most snow we've gotten for years has been only an inch (or a centimeter, lol.) that has lasted only a few hours.

Not that I care much - it's too cold out there for me! lol. But it's a lot more interesting to look out at than our usual winter weather, which includes a great deal of ( Read more... )

Lol. Yeah, I guess. It differs from state to state, obviously, but here in Virginia, it's like 15 and 8 months or something... Some (mostly private) schools have driver's ed at 14, though. It's rather odd.

What's the average legal age in the good ol' UK?

No average, just one legislation for the UK -- 18 yo to pass your licence, although you can get a provisional licence (which means you can drive with a licensed adult over 25 sitting next to you) from 17 yo.

Hm. That seems excessive. lol. When I get my permit, I can drive with a licensed family member over 18, or a licensed, non-family adult over 21.

Lucky, it's almost two and a half years until I can start to drive :(

I got snow too! A couple of weeks worth. It's snowing now, but not very much. SNOW IS GOOD XD

But have fun driving, just remember- your side of the ocean and not mine :P

Oh, haha. Apparently I'll have trouble remembering which side of the road, let alone the ocean! lol.

Eh - if it snows, they make me go outside into the cold. If it's raining, nobody makes me leave my room. That makes for a happy fandom!addict. ^_^

Haha, after a few days I didn't get forced outn except for taking the dog out for a walk. Or a drag, as I've taken to calling them. Normally we don't use a lead, but in the snow he needs one and even then he digs his feet in and I have to quite literally pull him along. But yes, snow = no school. Except for when there is school and my feet get all cold. Thankfully they laid off the school shoes for a few days, although I still wore them because I didn't want to risk a detention. I then got a detention for forgetting my textbook because the previous class had almost blown the room up. Grr. Some people got out of it, but I was too lazy to go and find our HOY *shrug*. But I'm rambling and not sure how I got onto the topic. And as for the ocean, I'd imagine that it wouldn't be very helpful because we drives on the otherside and we have different sign posts too :P

I wanna be Irish, so I'll probably try to drive on the left side of the road a few times (just to freak my mom out). lol.

We have to dig out a place in the snow for my puppy to go outside. lol.
