I never knew listening to Damien Rice or Jack Johnson can be classified as "only for girls or the arty sort" - today's LIFE section has an article bout upcoming music direction moving towards the guise of melancholic, angst-ridden, poignant, poetic singer-songwriter type.
There's Damien Rice - i like his angst-filled lacerative lyrics & heart-wrenching guitar tunes :), James Blunt - wasn't impressed by his overly nasal voice... not an album to be put on perpetual 'repeat', Jack Johnson - a more positive & optimistic version of Rice..
Managed to get the tix for coming Thurs Damien Rice concert *sweatz*! But little faith i have, in the accoustics over @ Suntec. I hope its worth it.... prior performances were abysmal.
