Tick, Tick...Boom! was cool. (Arts West.) I didn't know the show, only the soundtrack, so I loved learning the context of these songs. Though I still hate "Sugar." I'll probably always hate "Sugar." "Why" was fantastic. I finally met Jessica after knowing of her through people for a year or two.
Qu-qu-qu-quality time!! K.Rice, Sam, & Me + Stick It ("You're whipped!" "Dude, when is that ever a bad thing?") + Abby & Hannah + "You're about as North as South America." + Honey Nut Cheerios & coffee = ...qu-qu-qu-quality time!!! (Which is almost as good as Peanut Butter Jelly Time.)
Dance class was embarrassing for my soul, lunch was frustrating with a broken microwave, work was bad before a much appreciated visit, and SNL was a rerun. But John C. Reilly's hosting next week, so that's fine.
Dreamgirls at TLT was fantastic!!! Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit, Amy is an incredible actor. I've only ever seen her in NOMT last year, which apparently, with her couple solos, was not a very accurate testament to her talents. Or should I say, definitely not as accurate as Dreamgirls. (And unfortunately, it seems this year's NOMT won't be any different. But we won't get into that....) She played Lorrell and performed the shit out of that part. She's got such a natural presence that's incredibly engaging, and I still find it completely mind-boggling that I know someone who can belt that high in full chest and cry at the same time. ... What?!
Kudos, Amy, for being amazing.
Ribs tonight. For Coming Out Week, I came out as a Ribs-Lover. Yeeahh.
Laughter's going prrretty well. Off-book always equals shaky for me.
