CQOD - Crazy Quote of the Day
I have to admit that doing background research on prospective jurors is kinda fun. You learn the most interesting things about people. Here is the CQOD:
"Married to Bo, good person, Raymond's daughter - He has two other daughters that are a little crazy, but this one is OK."
Then there is the guy who's brother was convicted of felony manslaughter for killing his father.
And how about this one,
"John's son, home schooled his entire life, can't cope with others, extremely weird acting, has had no contact with the public. Dad is a well respected plumber, people think pretty highly of him. Maybe his son works with him. "
I suggested that maybe they home schooled him 'cause he had some "problems." No, they just thought they could be a better job. So, OK.
The good news is that none of the prospective jurors are sleeping around with anybody on the investigative team as far as we know. There seem to be a fair number of poultry farmers on the panel. Farmers are good, but chickens are nasty. I can't imagine living next to a chicken house. I raised chickens a long time ago. And some hogs. Apparently I'm in the chicken capital of the gulf south. I guess somebody has to do it. I have a good friend that has a chicken farm. He thinks they're nasty, too.
We do have a few people who play cards with the plaintiffs. I wonder if they can be fair to both sides? I went to school for how long to do this???? Hey, I got a pizza from the famous Pizza Pro. I chose the 11 inch Meat to Please for $11.99. All the meats and extra cheese. Better take my Lipitor now. Maybe some Ritalin. Am I rambling? The best news is that there is a mini-fridge and a mini-microwave in my room, so I saved half the pizza for tomorrow? Oh, the simple pleasures of life.
