So, classes aren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. I love Kerry Shea's classes because she has such a great love for what she teaches. I can't help but find it infectious. American Lit II with Niemi is fine, and I have it with Ashley, so I at least have someone to roll my eyes at if it gets boring. Intro to Business wasn't bad, although he had the class just sit around and argue, and I felt too rude to interrupt anyone. When I finally got to speak, he said I was the only one thinking outside the box.
Now for psychology--I have Ari Kirshenbaum, and he is ................. highly attractive.
So right now, I'm painting my toenails and watching "The Color Purple." I can't decide if I love or hate Oprah in this movie, but either way, she isn't in it for very long. And this is the only movie of which I know is better than the book.
I will, however, never be able to take Whoopie Goldberg seriously. She's good as Oda Mae Brown Cealie, but . . . oy. Whenever I see her, I think of her character in "Ghost," being pestered by Patrick Swayze's pseudo-translucent being.
Swayze-Ghost: Tell her [Demi Moore] that those men broke into her house! Tell her--tell her she's in danger, in serious trouble!
Oda Mae Brown: Will you shut up? Let me tell her in my own way. (Leans in to Demi with faux grave importance) Mmm, you in danger, girl.
Well, the first coat of paint is dry, but I'm sure I'll have more later.
