On 2014: DWCons and Tattoos...
So, 2014... A while off yet (though yes it is almost March 2013 already which means the year is going too fast!).
There will be a Discworld Con in 2014. In Manchester. Been doing early stuff for the commitee and I am optimistic with things I've seen/heard so far about the locale and planning.
Also, it'll be my 30th birthday in September 2014. Slightly concerned about the big three-zero, but hey-ho, can't be helped. :S
Anywayz, I was kinda planning on having an early birthday celebration at DWCon14 because I rarely have that many awesome friends in one place and I'd love to share my birthday with you crazy-ass people. I don't think it being a month early will be too much of an issue. I was brought into this world two months prematurely, after all, so I'm owed this. ;) Party in Manchester! (And maybe Dark Clerks Twister will actually be ready to make an appearance this time round!)
Also, I think that I would like to mark my 30th year on this planet with a tattoo. Have plenty of planning time to think on this though I'm starting to narrow down what I want and am doodling ideas in my sketch book. Any advice on the process of getting a custom tattoo from those of you who have them...? How long does the planning take? And how does one decide whereabouts on their body to get one..? And how much shall I look to save up to pay for this?
