Girly Advice?
I need some advice from my female friends. :) Most of you know me fairly well now and I've always been a bit of a tomboy and have never really had a high enough regard for myself to take care with what I wear or my appearance. Recent years have seen this attitude start to change a bit, and I'm hoping to get my mop of hair trimmed into some sort of feminine style this week (my hair's long for the first time in 5 years!).
What I'd like to do next - not every day, but on occasion - is start to wear a little bit of make-up. But I've never worn any in my life and it's a daunting prospect to start at 26 years of age. Most 12-year-olds are more savvy than I am. So... where the Hell do I start? :/ If I can get something basic together in time for my lil Discworld holiday at the end of the month, that'd be cool.
2011 feels like a year of change - I've already moved house and changed jobs again and the hair-style is changing, too. (And we won't even go into the bizarre emotional rollercoaster I've been riding thanks to a certain gent which, even if it was/is a bit of fun, nevertheless has had a profound emotional effect on me, even if it doesn't on him.)
So...anyway... any advice, ladies? :D
