I realise that I've not drawn a Discworld-y sketch for Christmas since 2006. Bad, bad Grace. But I've got an idea for one for this year so the series may yet continue. It began with "
His World" and then rolled onto the
Havvie-and-daughter sketch. If I can pull off the image that's in my head for the next one, it should be pretty good. Since the first two took place in "real time", as the books tend to do, this one should technically be set five years after the first one. (On a side note, when I asked Briggs at the Convention about Havvie's age, Briggs ascertained quite firmly that Vetinari was "his age". This means, like Stephen, that Havvie will be reaching a landmark birthday next year.)
Fun times! I'm in a drawing mood - which is just as well, with four, maybe five, possibly even six doggy art commissions on the table right now! One's about done, at least. I've done something mildly productive today! I've drawn half a Discworld picture in-between inspired by "Making Money", the audio book of which is being played for the second time in my car at the moment. It's not turning out as well as I'd hoped... but maybe I'll upload it when it's done.
