Torchwood Bleh...

Okay... Torchwood finale was a little disappointing Jack-wise. But OMG! Tosh and Owen! They were pure gold. They stole the show. And Captain John has done just what Jack did to me when he first appeared in Doctor Who -- he's grown on me. I'm sure he'll be back in series 3 (I presume there will be one?).

The whole Gray story was a bit lame, though... it just didn't affect me at all. It never has, even when it first came up in that "Adam" episode. The musical theme was nice and John Barrowman gave it his all, but the entire concept seemed weak. I'm sure they could have come up with something better for Gray to brood over than Jack's letting go of his hand - you need something heavier to build such hatred upon, whether you've been tortured and tormented for years afterwards or not. Meh. Could've been better. (I found the episode was all a bit predictable as soon as Gray waltzed back in, as well.)

And poor Jack buried for years! Amazing his hair didn't grow at all in that time and not a single spot of stubble. (Sorry, people, but major slip-up! I'm sure Jack's hair still grows, be he immortal or no.) I love Jack to bits, but the writers don't half let him down sometimes.

Well, another Torchwood series over! Doctor Who's back tomorrow but I don't know yet whether I'll watch it. I still haven't forgiven it for the shocking cheesiness and sheer lameness of the series 3 finale. Maybe it can redeem itself... but I doubt I'll ever love it as much as I did when the superb Mr. Eccleston was at the helm.

Now... must go to bed. I did an 8+ hour shift at work today with one toilet break. :) Heh. I was a busy little bee. At least I'll get a decent wage packet next week for that!

...

Gee, haven't mentioned Geoffrey in this entry. Oh, now I have. XD
