OMG!

OMFG! Whoever put together the "Golden Edition" Elizabeth DVD - I love you!!! I never thought it was possible for a language selection page to make one's ovaries explode, but someone proved me wrong!

Friggin' hawt!!! *faints* Look at the open collar! Don't you just wanna reach out and touch? EEEEE! (Ignore the gushing if you're not a Rushie. I don't think Geoffrey would expect anything less from me, though, Walsie lover that I am.)

I now am the proud owner of two slightly different Elizabeth DVDS. LOL. Geek alert! This "Golden Edition"'s pretty good, though - some of the interview footage is slightly different than what I have on my older DVD, and Shekhar's audio commentary for the film is well worth listening to. Just as with the Gala, when I got to hear Kapur talk in person (and meet him, albeit briefly!), all of his philosophies are so appealing to me, and I think he just understands how best to make use of history and drama, and all with such style and depth. And the few things he says about Walsingham are spot-on! I think I'm on the same wavelength as Kapur because he came out with some comments which made me go "OMG! That's exactly how I feel!" or "That's exactly what I thought!" Not to say I agreed with *everything* he said, but I agreed with a lot of it. A few Walsibeth connotations slipped in, which I relished -- and you know the bit where Walsingham locks the bishops in the cellar? Apparently that's historical fact! I thought that was made up! Heh. Go Walsie - perhaps your image as a stiff, puritanical man isn't quite so true after all. ;) Heheh.

If you love the film and don't have this version of the DVD, go get it! It's well worth it.

I've bought a Wii, BTW! Got one through eBay because no shops have them in stock. I was careful about it, though, because there's a lot of crap on eBay at the moment, and you hgave to watch out for imported models which come with the plug adaptors. I bought one off a woman and it still has its receipt from Argos, so if anything goes wrong, I can send it to Nintendo to get a new one. :) It hasn't arrived yet - only just paid for it - but it comes with a couple of games (including Twilight Princess), and a crossbow thingy and stuff. I can't wait to get it! I'm going to have to fix it up to mum's TV when she's not home so I have all the space in the living room to hurl the remote around. Heh. I've ordered the game of At World's End, too, and am thinking over whether to get Mario Galaxy, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games or Pokémon Battle Revolution as well. I only want one of the three right now (though I'd like all of them eventually) since I need to save the rest of my money for a while, I just can't make my mind up on which one to get first!

(And yes the Wii means I'm going to be wasting more of my time when I should be doing uni' work. LOL.)

Got work at Damon's tonight. Going to Derby tomorrow. Busy until next week and beyond... W00t! XD Hope you're all keeping well!
