I had fun Dober-sitting. I had 10 dogs to look after, some of which needed walking, and all of which needed to be kept in certain "groups" lest they meet someone who they would want to fight. :)

I even found a fabulous book on my friend's bookshelf whilst I was there - about the "Isles of the Caribbes"! Wow, it was interesting - I think I need to find a copy. It's really useful for PotC fanfiction to know which islands are where, and what's on each, and the colonial history of them, too.

I've been browsing Wikipedia to see what it has to say on matters of Caribbean history, and I keep stumbling across really interesting lil things. For one thing, does my memory deceive me or does Jack fly the skull-n-crossbones of "Henry Every" at the end of AWE? Looky And does Every himself not sound like a certain Hector to you? (I quote, "In the spring of 1694, Every was serving as first mate aboard the 46-gun privateer Charles II, under a Captain Gibson, then anchored at La Coruña, Spain. Every and a few fellow conspirators succeeded in a well-planned mutiny and set Captain Gibson ashore.") I guess the PotC guys did their research and stuff, and used the sources. XD

And now... I shall write Barbossabeth. Again. Maybe. :)
