Wi-Fi!

How cool is Wi-Fi Pokémon? I mean, compared to the days of Pokémon Red and Blue, it's just amazing, and gives one so much more flexibility! I put up a Bonsly at the Trading Centre today then, ba-boom, 15 minutes later I went back to check and I'd been traded a Mime Jr. from someone far, far away across the globe! It's just so damn cool! I can't wait to unlock the Battle Tower and have access to unlimited trainers from all over the world with which to battle. (If any of you by some small chance have the game, give me your ID so I can put it in my Pal Pad. I'm lacking friends.)

And before you ask me how old I am, I'm old enough to know better, but too damn young to care! XD Pokémon games rule.

I've just got back from Holland today, in fact. We went to the Dutch Belgian Shepherd Specialty show over the weekend, and, wow, did we sweep the boards or what? Our UK/Irish/Dutch champion, TC, took best Tervueren dog and Best-of-Breed (BOB) Terv, whilst our new puppy Merlin, who we're importing into the UK later in the year (and who I handled in the ring) took best Tervueren male puppy, best Tervueren puppy, and Best Puppy in Show! Oh yeah! How was that for his first show...? So the weekend was good, and we've come to the decision that Crufts really needs to brush up on the prizes it presents - you get huge trophies at the Euro shows, whilst they only give you a measly rosette and a piece of card at Crufts. Considering the price you pay per dog to enter Crufts (about £20 each), they should be able to offer a lot more than that. It is, allegedly, the world's greatest dog show after all. *cough* (As much as I love Crufts, it has far too many problems to be called "great".)

I've also got my first "proper" driving lesson tomorrow. I'm paying for a 30 hour course to be done over several weeks, and I'm really hoping to pick it up fast. I'm eager for the freedom of driving on my own. I'm doing this for my planned-for Dobermann puppy more than anything - I want to take her to Schutzhund training, and hopefully (money and time permitting), to take her on the continent to show and maybe do her fit-for-breeding test (which is compulsory in Europe, but not in the UK). I can't do any of that via coach, train or ferry. :) Whenever I finally get this dog, she's gonna be spoilt rotten. And I'll have my Belgian boy Phoenix, too, who will be the surrogate dad to this puppy. He loves babies, esepcially girl ones.

I'm in a bloody Nazi-history mood again now. Gonna have to watch Downfall or something tonight...
