I can't believe it. Face of Boe, you were *so* pipped to the post by Russell T. Davies, y'know? Thing is I've finally bought me a copy of the 2006 Doctor Who annual (late, I know... but hey), and what does it say in the final paragraph on the "Meet the Doctor" page...?
Ahem...And far away, across the universe, on the planet Crafe Tec Heydra, one side of a mountain carries carvings and hieroglyphs, crude representations of an invisible War. The artwork shows two races, one metal, one flesh; a fearsome explosion; and a solitary survivor walking from the wreckage. Solitary? Perhaps not. Under this figure, a phrase has been scratched in the stone, which translates as: you are not alone...
Gee, trust me *not* to but an annual that's been available since late 2005 which contains this little number. I think RTD's got a five year plan of Doctor Who strung across his wall which he's had to hand since the start. He's probably sat in a room with Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and the eleventh Doctor to point out which Doctors they will play, and when they will come in, too. XD (LOL. Or not.)
