When I first got laid off in June, the temp agency I'd been using found a job for me. As you can tell I didn't take it. I went to the interview, but found out that the job was only for one year, $11/hour, and 45 minutes away with no traffic. It wasn't worth it to me, so I turned it down. I haven't had much luck since, obviously.
Christmas week, I got a call from the temp agency and she told me that the same company was looking again for the second person for the same job {two people are in this position}. The woman at the temp agency explained to the job why I turned them down in the first place, and since they really liked me, they got approval to offer me $13/hour instead of the $11 but unfortunately its still just for one year. I went to do a second {but in-formal} interview right before Christmas, and today she just called to say that they offered the job to me. I'm going to take it. Therefore:
I GOT A JOB!
Its just admin where I print stuff, bind it, and then ship it. But hey, its work and I won't be required to book flights for people to and from Singapore at all hours of the night! :D
