What the hell was Blizzard thinking?
I'm trying to keep an open mind about this.
I've only been able to mess around with my DK so far (haven't touched my hunter or pally, and frankly, I'm afraid to). By speccing Unholy, I got to learn a really, really cool talent called Festering Strike. I also got a minor STA boost.
In return, I've lost my 'On A Pale Horse' talent, which means I'm slow as shit now. My DK used to be my fastest toon, now (excepting my low-level alts) he's the slowest. Yes, I could've taken that talent and specced frost instead, but that would mean I'd lose the perma-ghoul.
Nice of Blizz to say, 'Here, you can have both' for (how long have DKs existed), and then make us give one up. Both were integral parts of my toon, and giving one up is kind of like saying, 'You've had both heat and electricity for over a year now! Which one would you like to give up? Oh, you need BOTH? Hmmm. Not happening. Which one would you like? You can only choose one.' WTF?? I want both, because I already HAD both for over a year.
The new talent trees blow. Yes, there's a lot less filler, but having to put ALL your points into one tree before moving to the next is just dumb. The two most important things for me were the perma-ghoul (pet for extra damage) and the Pale Horse talent (for speed). Now, I only get to pick one. Not even sure if I'll be able to get the Pale Horse talent at 85, since I may not get that many points to spend. (Just checked. At level 85, I'd be one point short.)
This fucking sucks.
And, the rune system? Are you fucking kidding me???
Before, I used to be able to do my rotation, and by the time I was finished killing a mob, all but the last two runes would have regenerated, allowing me to quickly move onto the next and start over. Now, I have to wait. Every single time. The consistency and flow are broken.
I was kinda looking forward to this patch, but now I want the old WoW back.
wow,
