I shocked myself and Scott last night. I was at the sparta post office, and I called him because his car was in the parking lot so I knew he was home. So I figured I was a jerk if I didn't call him. He told me to come up, and said he was happy I called him, and would have been mad if he knew I was so close and didn't visit him. He was waiting for a friend to call him for dinner, so we put his CD's and DVD's in order, and then went across the street for a drink.
He had a few drinks, started talking about us taking a vacation togehter and going to Atlantic City sometime. Then he asked what I was going to tell my parents, because he figured if I was going to go away with him, they would want to see a face. He told me he still wasn't ready for that, because he knows he would probably love my parents, but that's just a step he's not ready for yet. So his friend called, and I figured I wouldn't see him until next week.
He called me again at 10, said he was at Lakeside, and told me he would love to see me, but there was no pressure to come out since it was alreay late. I told him I'd call him back, and by the time I did, he was already on his way out of there, because he was really far down on the open mic list. So he said he would stop by if it wasn't so late, but I told him to anyway. He asked if my parents were up, and when i said my dad was still awake, i figured he wouldn't want to come over anymore, but he surprised me, and came anyway. I introduced him to my dad, they talked briefly, and then I officially introduced him to Jackie. We watched a movie with her, he layed on my lap, and was asleep within the next hour. He wasn't getting up so well either, so I just told him to stay. He eventually gave in and slept on the couch, and I slept there with him, and we woke up at 5:15, and then both went to work.
Very strange night, but good to say the least.
