Day 27 - Most epic scene ever.

Fighting GLaDOS in Portal
This whole thing was just... crazy. I can't even. I don't know if it's more epic or just creepy as fuck. Really, I can't think of a lot of epic game scenes, because I haven't played a game in a long time and now I can't think of anything but this one. Cause between the start of this, the "fight" itself, what happens at the end, and then the song in the credits (which isn't in the video), and it's just insane. Gotta love the music too.

Day 28 - Favorite game developer.
Valve. All of their games are so much fun and every single game they've made is good. Like, you can't pick up a valve game and then put it down thinking it wasn't well made or interesting. It's just not possible.

Day 29 - A game you thought you wouldn't like, but ended up loving.

Resident Evil 4
I'm bad at first person shooters, I don't like horror films, and escort missions are the bane of my existence. Yet for some fucked up reason, this game was still fun. There was a thrill to it and yeah, I was really bad at it (I never bothered even trying to finish it), but I'd definitely recommend it to other people.

Day 30 - Your favorite game of all time.

Great boss fights, beautiful landscapes, a few puzzles here and there, fun to play with weapons and visors, great music, the chozo backstory and the pirate logs were actually cool to read, and most of all, you get that totally zen sense of being completely alone on this huge planet, exploring and just seeing what it's all about. I just really liked everything about it. And even though it has those logs and stuff? There wasn't really a storyline you were forced to hear about. It was just you, running around and exploring the place. No one else. It was so cool, the story was told through silence in the game most of the time and that's what games are about. No one needs stories or long cutscenes. Just give me a beautiful atmosphere and hints along the way, I can make a story up myself. Trust me.

Honorable mentions: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time; Earthbound

amsterdam, life, meme, owies, video games, stick that in your blunt and smoke it
