Keep spamming my meme posts guys I just need to rant.
So I just got done peer editing 3 papers for my Race to Cyberspace class. The same class that I got to write my sweet ass KC paper for. The prompt this time however, was:
Does roleplaying other ethnic/racial groups or genders challenge or enforce stereotypes? Use Sherry Turkle's and Nakamura's essays as evidence to your claims.
So of course, only me and one other girl in my class do any kind of roleplaying online - which means everyone else thinks that roleplayers are stereotypical fat white guys with no lives. And of course, I had to review the papers of 3 girls who have no knowledge of RP'ing and just make assumptions from Turkle and Nakamura essays.
It was awful
I seriously had to cross out half of my comments on one paper because I wasn't being constructive I was just ripping apart her argument because I so dearly believed it was wrong *screams*. God and another one of the essays I reviewed was just her being like "Well it might challenge stereotypes, but there's more evidence that it doesn't." What the fuck you stupid BITCH THAT'S NOT A THESIS *rips paper in half* Jesus. The last paper was well written so I got to be sane for that but jesus. Everyone just made all these assumptions and shit and I'm like WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO SAY THAT'S RIGHT. Hurga;klsfj this prompt in general makes me mad. Like first of all, what is a stereotype? Is it the same for everyone? No. It's a man-made image based off each persons experiences. You know what else comes from personal experiance? Peoples images of themselves. It changes over time as things change as they develop and age. Plus, usually people who see their race being stereotyped, they try and challenge it - if it really matters to them. I bet most Asians avoid your LambdaMOO bullshit because they don't want to deal with all the wank you white retards like to throw everywhere. Shit man. Shit.
also what the fuck does quixotic mean but I like this seizuring smilely.
fuck the human race,
