Today,
hyper_amychao and I went to the eye doctor so I could get an exam and a few new pairs of glasses. It's been probably a good two or three years since I've been, and I figured that now would be a good time to get my eyes checked.
The people over at Vision Works were super nice, and I really liked the eye doctor that helped me. xD I have horrible eyesight; the eye doctor first made me look at a chart with my glasses off. I told him I couldn't read anything, even the top line. It's all blurry unless I have it right in front of my face. When I did the machine that automatically calculated my prescription, he was all "Wow, no wonder you couldn't see that top letter!" when he looked at what the machine printed out.
My eyes are healthy, which makes me happy. I just can't see. xD Here's an exact copy of my prescription:
Right eye is -6.25 sphere, -2.25 cylinder, 45 axis.
Left eye is -7.75 sphere, -0.75 cylinder, 137 axis.
I also have astigmatism in my right eye, which doesn't help with the whole seeing thing. Buuuut, I picked out two pairs of glasses I love. :D I'm getting a pair of regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses, for when I go biking and stuff. The regular glasses are black and baby pink, while the sunglasses are black and baby blue.
hyper_amychao helped me pick both of them out.
The only problem was the price. My total was $277.00, with all of the stuff I needed. However, I saved $310.00 with all of the discounts I received. And since my prescription hadn't changed very much from the last time I was in, I'm hoping my eyes are done going through changes and I just need to pay for the exam next time.
But still, there goes all of my extra money until I get my bonus check on the 16th. xD It's about $120.00 more than I was expecting to pay. And my eyes are still dilated, so I hope that will go away in the next few hours.
