Whooo, today was so busy. xD
We didn't go to bed until around 3:30 or 4 this morning, and I woke up at 11. However, I didn't get up until around 11:45... heehee, I was being lazy. I took a HOT SHAAR, with unlimited hot water. That was nice. And then it was off to shop!
...Or so we thought. xD Since Liz had gotten paid on Friday, we went to one of the Wells Fargos here in Grand Junction to see if they could cash her check. After we were refused, we went back to the dorm and had Dana, one of Liz's podmates, come with us to another Wells Fargo to get the check cashed in her name. After that, we decided to treat Dana to Starbucks as a way of saying "thank you." But first we needed to get the PT Cruiser gas. The gas station we went to had unleaded at $3.11 a gallon. That's the least expensive price for gas I've seen in quite a long time. xD
Now it was time to shop. First, we went to this Pagan store in Grand Junction called Heart of the Dragon. I looked around and didn't really find anything, but I did find Liz her late birthday present. It was a cool store, and I hadn't been in a store like that in such a long time. ^_^
After that, we hit the mall. We stopped in soooo many different stores, including: Bath and Body Works, FYE, Hot Topic, this junior clothing store called DEB, and Jo-Ann's, where we picked up material for comfort blankets. I bought some more chapstick when we were at Bath and Body Works... they were having this sale where they were 3 for $15. I broke down and bought 3, since I always seem to lose them. xD At FYE I found a "Gundam SEED" DVD that I'd been looking for forever, and it was only $15 as well~!
After we finished at the mall, we went over to Best Buy. There were a few things I wanted to get there... but their anime section is so much smaller than the one in Fort Collins. I figured that if I wanted anything, I should probably just wait until I got home to go looking. Apparently "Peach Girl" has been licensed and has already been released! That kind of shocked me. They also had "X-Men: Evolution" season 3 for sale, as well as the complete "Scrapped Princess" anime. I resisted getting them, though.
Next came Barnes and Noble, but again... they didn't have as much as FoCo. So, I waited. Then after a trip to Michael's and another stop at Border's, we finally finished up and ate dinner at this Mexican restaurant called Panchero's. They make their own tortillas fresh, so that was really good. ^_^ The steak they have was delicious. Then after an ice cream stop at Coldstone, we finally came back to the dorm.
Right when we settled in, Caleb called and we decided to meet for Italian sodas. Eventually, the whole group showed up, and we all hung out. There was this thing called CramJam going on, so we went and got some free food and stuff. :D
Once we had finished eating, this guy named Justin invited us to his dorm room so we could play "Soul Calibur III." It was a lot of fun, but this guy named Cole really pissed me off. He is in the room next to Justin's, and he kind of invited himself in and was watching Liz and me play the game. Since it was my first time, I was just kind of button-mashing and seeing what exactly I could do with everything. After a few minutes he was like "You know, what you're doing right now would be illegal in a tournament." It's like "Whoop de doo, I could care less." So I replied "Well, I guess it's good that we aren't in a tournament, isn't it?" ~_~ Just... ugh. He pissed me off for the rest of the night. This one guy named Greg was play-flirting with me, though, so that cheered me up.
Now we're settled back in Liz's dorm, which is where I'm assuming we're going to stay for the rest of the night. All I want is some peace and quiet, since Cole was being a bastard, Gideon is confusing the hell out of me... The plan for tomorrow is to either go see the Monument or Bang's Canyon, then make another trip to Heart of the Dragon with Caleb. After that, Jon and Patrick wanted to hang out for a while, so I'm supposing we're going to do that. Sheesh, people in Grand Junction sure keep you busy.
