photography

Seeing the Ansel Adams exhibit made me realize something about photography in general: a good photographer needs to be able to see what would make a good picture. Although this might seem obvious as taking photos is what photographers do.... it is exactly the reason why I can never be a good photographer. I think everything merits a photo. In my mind, certain things are fabulous that nobody else finds interesting. I feel that my mind works in peculiar ways and that, a lot of the time, people just dont understand. I look around and I see beauty in everything, in towels hanging in my bathroom, in pants strewn in a certain way across my bed spread, in feet on a dashboard, in the empty highway. Although all of these things could potentially be interesting subjects for a photo, I get so caught up in the moment that it passes and then I have missed the chance to capture the image in its fresh state.
My photos all turn out stale.
