for those who don't read myspace blogs- i posted this yesterday
Our Wedding Day
Current mood: happy
Friday night: Bill and his family along with my family went to Chaparral Street Grill for dinner the night before. It was nice to be able to get them all together b/c we haven't done that ever- both of our families have conflicting schedules- Dinner was great- after that Bill and i went to visit Val, Ernie and the girls staying at a hotel down the road from the restuarant. She got us some beautiful candles that smell great and a very pretty candle with our wedding invitation on it.
Saturday night: Well first let me start off by saying i didn't get a very good night's sleep. I was nervous- just had a million things going through my head- which is normal- but it really was a lot more than i usually think about . We went to the hall around 9 to get things decorated- we had to nix plans for getting married at the water gardens b/c of the rain- but I was fine with that- it's good luck if it rains on your wedding day. I got my hair done at 10 and headed back to the hall.
When i got there everything was starting to just look beautiful Aunt Gwen did a wonderful job decorating. The Cake came in at 12:45 and it was beautiful... i love love loved it! Seriously. Gwen put some flowers of it that we had left over from all the decor- but it was just fantastic. Bill and I came back home to rest- and put on makeup and what not.
We headed out to the hall at 3:45 and both families had to be there early b/c we needed to take pictures. Mom helped my put on my dress- we didn't put my train down and i was fine with that. I was okay until we were getting my dress on and i started to cry/laugh- just really tired and ready for the day- while my mom was hooking up my dress i was trying not to cry... it was just a weird feeling- nothing bad though.
We came out of the dressing room and i saw bill and almost cried.
Anyway we took a million pics- trust me. The ceremony was small- but we loved it-
BBQ was good. Cake was excellent- champagne was good and our first dance was great. My father daughter dance- I started to cry before dad came out with me- I'm extremly close with my parents- so it was a great emotional day for us. He cried too of course- and kind of hysterically laughed too . We dance some more and just had a great time. Again thanks to my really good friends from out of town and in town that showed up to the wedding- it was so nice to see all of ya'll- and we must do this again- not a wedding- but hang out.. for sure.
Anyway we cut the wedding time early since it was a small crowd. We loaded the vehicles and headed out- we were home by like 11- not bad.
Bill and i stayed up til midnight unloading the car looking at cards we recieved and opening the last of the presents. it was fun- we were exhausted.
Today- we went to rockport b/c some of my family was still in town and we really don't get together like that anymore- it was wonderful. Dad made fajitas and we sat around- the guys watched the game- of course i wanted to- but i really wanted to sit around with the girls and catch up- more quiet time .
So now it's back to normal life- we both go back to work on wednesday- so we have time to relax some more so that's good.
anyway- i really will post more pics when i have time and when i get them all!!!
