Summer trips and man holes!

Well now, just got back from a weekend in Vernon visiting my family. We decided to do this since we weren't going to Anime Evolution. Overall it was a nice trip with a few drawbacks. First was my niece's brithday party on the beach. That was fun.

We then left to go to another birthday party at the waterslides. Now that wasn't a particular good idea. Firstly, it was crowded as HELL. The lines were murderous. And secondly, I didn't really know all the people there very well, so it was basically just Ty and I wandering around. We went on the river ride once. Ty, unfortunately, fell off his tube like seven times so he wasn't all that thrilled to go on it again. We had an ice-cream cone and then left after about two hours. Basically, a little pool soak and one ride, plus the ice-cream came to $30. Yikes.

But anyways, then we went to spend time with Dad. That was good. We basically all hung out and chatted and stuff, and then did a little shopping. My dad is so nice! I told him about my broken printer and he went and gave me his colour laser printer! Sweet! And as a house warming gift, bought Ty and I an electric skillet. Yay!

Unfortunately, we now have to take our car to the shop as soon as we get payed. It was damaged on the trip. In Vernon, there was a stretch of the highway that had the top of the ashpalt scraped off, thus having all the man-holes exposed and sticking up above the surfuce almost half a foot. With Ty, little sister, and crap loads of stuff in the car, I'm guessing that the car bottomed out when driving over some of them. After we left town, a wonderful little scraping noise developed. Oh just what I just wanted to hear! Fawk!

Well, my Uncle and my Dad both looked at it. With a superficial inspection of the vehicle, including underneith and taking off both the front tires, they couldn't find any signs of damage (or warping). Also, there is no grease or oil leakage and the drivability of the car hasn't been affected. But the sound is very obviously there. Maybe an internal joint along the driveshaft was crushed or something. Fawk! Thankfully, we made it home safe and sound. I also took it to work today too. But I want to get it looked at as soon as possible. I really hope it's not too expensive. We have to pay rent next week! >.<

Goodness, it's a good car but GAWD is it awefully delicate. >:/
