So this weekend I went to Fanali's birthday shows. It was so fucking awesome to go reminisce. The huxtables, aymen from Dexter danger, Stunt monkey, Mall security, and My new Life were all there the first night. I fucking grew up with these bands and it was so amazing to see them again after half of them have broken up or grown up or whatever,
The second night it was shinobu, push to talk and pterodon or whatever.
I saw John (Shinobu) and fucking STRIKER from Argyle (The first local show I went to a million years ago) Strickland's gained a bit of weight but it was so awesome to see him. It was funny, he was like "I know it's been like 6 years, but you guy still look 13 to me" I can't believe when we met them they were only 17. Holy shit I feel old, and I'm the youngest one out of all these people. Then again, me and Eryn were always the youngest kids there anyway, haha.
Im REALLY glad I went, I feel like it was a closure to those years that were so important to me. I remember going to two shows every single weekend, and just seeing so many bands all the time. It was a community and I miss it, but I know It's all pretty much dead now. I'm just glad it was a chance for me to get my goodbyes in.
I mean, I'm still friends with Fanali and stuff, but that's about it. The only time I talk to the people that were in the bands, or even the muckruckers (haa) is when I see them randomly. Ah well, Guess that's what growing up is all about.
