Is it really true? That Bob left MCR four fucking weeks ago?

On some site I go to regularly (a forum) a friend of mine made a thread telling everyone how pissed she was at MCR for just now telling the fans that Bob had left the band. And I was on the verge of fucking tears. THIS CANT BE TRUE!!! D ( Read more... )

I'm not angry at them surprisingly, I still love them like I always have, but without Bob.. Things just aren't the same.

All I know is from now on I'm going to really appreciate every single member of every band I like, because you never know when you might lose them.

Unfortunately, it's all true about Bob. Frank posted a message on the MCR website about it.

I am sad to see Bob go, but I was not particularly attached to him like I am, say...Tré. So I am glad I am not a member of the community where the HBiC said what she said about Tré, because I would have gone ballistic.

I already went off about John Lydon today, and I would have been glad to go off on her ass, too! How dare she say horrible things about our dear, sweet, deranged, perverted little drummer boy! Most days I'm harmless, but today is a different matter...

If she had said what she said about Tre to me irl, I WOULD HAVE SHOT HER MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE TEMPLE.

Absolutely NO ONE except for like 4 or so out of 10,000 members on this website even remotely like this bitch. She states her opinions like facts, is a complete bitchtard for completely unnecessary reasons, and so many other things that grindin my nerves. So, I already strongly disliked her. After she said what she said, my strong dislike grew to hate. I know it's stupid to hate someone you don't actually know, but she has pulled so many straws with me.

I absolutely ADORE Tre, and just.. GAH.

I haven't stopped crying since I read it earlier this evening. MCR are my everything, but I can't even begin to imagine them without Bob. And worse, to string us along for weeks, without telling us. I heard it on some stupid gossip site, and I know everyone had been twittering them about it, and no one bothered to be honest about it. :(

They simply aren't the same without Bob. As much as I love them, they just aren't the real MCR anymore. And they better give us a reason soon. Or else I WILL HUNT THEM DOWN.

AGREED A BILLION PERCENT. We at least deserve the truth, no matter what it is. Did Bob want to leave because of his wrists? Did he have to leave? Did they all have a big fight & part ways? WHAT?! Ugh. :(

You're right though - they're NOT the same without Bob. Part of me (selfish as it sounds) would have almost preferred that they did break up as a band, rather than break up with Bob. :(

If they can build up the courage to FINALLY tell us that Bob left, I'm sure they can summon a little more to tell us why. :/

AND I ACTUALLY AGREE WITH YOU. They've said what they had to say. Four fucking albums of pure poetry from the heart. Bob was a HUGE part of them. They've made their mark on the world. They won't be the same band on stage, they won't ever be the same if they make new music. MCR were at their greatest with Bob, because he is irreplacable.

It'll probably end up happening. There's 10,000-11,00 members on this forum. And only a small handful like her. And they're friends with her on other sites. So I highly doubt she'll be missed.

I heard some insanity that said Bob left to pursue a solo career. What, is he Phil Collins now? How can a drummer have a solo career? Don't get me wrong, as an aspiring stick-meister I have all the respect in the world for drummers but this news...HUH?!?!
