Week 7: Of 2 days and celebs
Yay for 2 day weeks!
Monday was Chinese gonghan/sihan/yan jiang gao test. :D Similar to FA's, like yay! After that, pracced in school for a while before going off to Crystal Jade for dinner with Huiwen. Then I was having some sort of chocolate urge, so shopped around taka for affordable choc! Off to borders to read (and sleep. :X But fate says I shouldnt, because 5 mins after I started napping, a bag from a super high shelf just dropped directly next to me. Anoter 5 minutes after that, jinghan called, with another 10 min interval, dad called. T_T)
Choir concert at Esplanade at 7.30pm. Meeting Jinghan there, who was with mrlim haha! (Bet weiting feels like killing her lol joking yeah.) Concert was not bad, but highlight gotta be Chaoying's solo. Expressions, taifeng, singing; it was of a wondrous standard. Think I enjoyed last year's concert more though! Kind of missing that story skit thing they have!
Tuesday, nothing much.
Today was NDP celebs. Fancy Footdrill wasnt as awe-inspiring as past years I think. Sec 2 performances were relatively okay, brings back memories of 204! As for sec fours performances, it was the highlight duh! Gotta love 413's, Yikai's rap totally pwned haha!
Showcasing some models of various classes:
(Qianwen ar, totallyyyy daring. And to think that the durians were real and smelling really bad haha!)
& although 405 didnt win, I think ours were good too! Yayyy to 405!
Speechday rehearsal after that. Confusion between performance and prize giving, since quite a few of us were involved in both. At the end, we stuck to performance (wasnt so boring at least!) And Nina totally called me COUGHCOUGH. (Pretty loud as well, the whole corridor heard it.) Apparently, she was going to say YIU(sum) then A CERTAIN SOMEONE invaded her mind, and she ended up saying GENE after the YIU. This has to sound indirect. All of us had quite a good laugh over it. After rehearsal ended, just pracced till 5pm and headed straight for liuqin lessons.
Lesson was pretty smoothsailing today! My liuqin had to be sent for reservicing (like BAD BAD za yin!!) so situls lent me one of his liuqins which has a double soundboard. Then its like super loud and clear! AHHH. I just kept smiling at it throughout lesson cos it has such a nice feel to it! (Was trying my best to control you know, it would look nuts smiling to it!) Maybe thats why I played better today. (I told situls that his qin is very nice, then he gave a "oh no you are dead/you are addicted to it thats bad/you must be more motivated to play cos u like my qin" face HAHA!)
Anyway, was pretty encouraged at the end of lesson, cos even though I already have a 2 hr ++ lesson, he wanna do a makeup lesson on Friday free of charge! (I seriously dont mind paying though, for his efforts!) Cos he says he feels very motivated to teach looking at my progress, so YAY! :D Now musnt let his expectations down, so better prac more before Friday! Hes a very nice and dedicated teacher!
(& seriously his qin is like an addiction. I only played it for 2 hours and already fell in love with the qin so -.-)
Rest of the days mark mugging and praccing liuqin I guess!
