1st week Holidays Weekends
Highlight of yesterday was of course syco concert. We attended the pre concert talk before that, and I was amazed by the composition of both Qin Bing (as described by gu laoshi) and Jie Mei Dao (composed by Chen Wei, who just graduated from RJ.) Jie Mei Dao/ Sisters Island is one of Singapore's southern islands, which is so coincidental with our Geography PT! 8D
What I enjoyed most during the concert were qin bing, jie mei dao and zheng he. Enjoyed Qin Bing, mostly due to the composition that made the whole piece sound so emotional and meaningful. Loved the second part especially, with that faint mournful xun sounding out, like a song sung by a soldering tearing and yearning for home. (Oh, the liuqin vs zhonghu part was *_*!) The third section was great too; the melody was identical to the first movement, but there was this shadow misting up everything, and you can totally feel the "black clouds gathering, with snowflakes falling" and the "mood turning grim". Fantastic.
Jie Mei Dao had a great composition too. Just listening to the piece makes you wonder how can an 18 year old compose such a masterpiece. Clara and Sophy were great, (not to mention chioooo haha!). It was quite sad when this piece ended, because I havent had enough of ruan yet!
Lastly, zheng he totally pwns. Wonderful wonderful piece! Too wonderful for words. Great great great composition! *_* Really enjoyed it thoroughly; it was as if I was on a voyage on the boundless sea for the first movement, and attending a world-most-majestic-wedding with dancing, singing, (add in more festive celebrative things) for the second movement. Favourite out of this three. (:

Today we had CCO prac. Am really enjoying CCO pracs more and more. :D It used to be quite boring sitting there for 6 hours and playing. But I am starting to appreciate this kind of time more and more; just getting in touch with 6/7 hours of music, spending time with my liuqin, being able to have time to reflect and think with "live" music backing you up (haha! 8D)... I think life has been so filled with activities that I have forgotten how to spend long hours on just doing something without multitasking or getting interrupted.. so I think CCO is a pretty good place to relax after one busy week, just enjoying the surging and falling emotions of music. The people in CCO are fun too haha. (: Just that why is my team so small!! So sadzzzzzz. But god has his arrangement right haha! And I think its quite fated that I get to meet some people here at CCO. :D
Tomorrow's another filled day with 1. chem remedial 2. cosplay payment 3. cco blazer collection 4. meeting huiwen for chem pt discussion 5. going for css live!
Leaving for Beijing this Friday with Qian, Dawn, Jiahui, Nina and Joyce. :D:D
