summary: changmin's in love, and yunho likes to show him in the smallest ways.

a/n: for yuxo , cause i love her like crazy. ♥

7:00 a.m.

Changmin wakes up in a daze and the smell of dry cereal coming from the kitchen does nothing to make him move any faster. He’s all puffy eyes and yawns when he finally sits down at the table, too tired to see the way that Yunho looks at him but not too far gone for the butterflies to go away whenever a bowl of his favorite cereal is placed in front of him with bananas on top, just the way he likes it.

He looks up to say thank you but sees a plain white t-shirt disappearing around the corner, probably to get Junsu out of bed. Smiling to himself, he pokes the bananas around and wonders how he lived life without this.

10:00 a.m.

Photo shoots are always hectic, and there’s never really a moment of free time to be had. The constant flash of the cameras and calls and suggestions from the photographers manifest themselves in the form of a dull pounding in Changmin’s temple, and the rest of his smiles are forced. The butterflies come back when he feels fingers warm against his own and a light tug and Yunho is pulling him to the side even though there isn’t enough time.

Ten minutes of conversation is better than anything else, and he finds himself smiling and laughing just like normal, looking into those eyes and wishing that he could fall into them forever. The flash of the camera brings him back to reality, and the warmth slips away, but the tingle lingers.

1:00 p.m

Rehearsal is long and tiring as always, and even though it’s the sixth time they’ve run the chorus Yunho still has that look of determination that’s starting to slip away from the rest of them. Changmin can feel himself sweating and his shoe slips on the glass stage, nearly breaks formation but he pulls it together and he knows Yunho saw.

Yunho doesn’t say a word, but he flashes a smile that makes Changmin’s spine tingle and stirs those damn butterflies again. He can’t help but smile back.

3:00 p.m.

Changing rooms are always too crowded and full of noise, and there are usually about thirty different things going on at once. Changmin stares off while a stylist adjusts his outfit and moves pieces of his hair to the perfect angle, checking and rechecking before she’s satisfied enough to finally give him a moment of space.

Before he can even think about walking away, warmth sneaks up on him from behind, curling around his waist and snug against his right shoulder. He knows it’s Yunho and smiles, allowing himself a few seconds to fall into the feeling and not to worry about anything else. He thinks he might feel a brush of lips against skin but then there’s an interviewer coming in for a word before the show and the warmth pulls back, hesitating just barely.

7:00 p.m

The show is finally over and the changing room is chaos once again, a mess of towels and water bottles and discarded articles of clothing that make it too hard to think. Cleaning up always takes less time than getting ready, and they duck out of the hallway with bows and numerous thank yous.

In the van, Changmin makes sure to squeeze into the seat next to Yunho and holds his hand secretly in the dark, watching as Junsu falls asleep against Yoochun and wishing, for a moment, that he could be so open in front of everyone.

10:00 p.m.

Being home is a comfort, knowing that the day’s schedule is over even though they’ll have to get up and do it all over again in the morning.

JaeJoong gives them a knowing smile when he sees Changmin’s fingers still tangled helplessly in Yunho’s, pulling the older man towards his bedroom because Junsu already disappeared with Yoochun. It takes much less than ten minutes for him to get undressed and slip into the sheets, and Yunho isn’t behind.

Warmth is back, strong and secure and at times like these Changmin always wishes he wasn’t so tired that he can barely keep his eyes open. Yunho doesn’t complain, only holds him closer and smiles when Changmin gets out half the words he’s dying to say, the rest of them falling into an exhausted murmur.

“I love you, too,” he whispers, a kiss to the forehead and goodnight.

7:00 a.m.

Changmin wakes up in a daze and the sunlight streaming through the window coupled with the sound of JaeJoong singing in the kitchen aren’t enough to make him a morning person. He shuffles into the kitchen, yawning and rubbing swollen eyes and smiles when a bowl of his favorite cereal is placed in front of him, bananas on top, just the way he likes it.
