a/n: written completely for yuxi, and she knows why. ♥ also, now is the time to mention two things. one: i got a writing journal! and the reason for that is thing number two: i'm going to leave fandom for a while. i want to work on original fiction some more, and so i probably won't be posting fanfiction for however long i'm away. i'll still be posting regularly in my other journal though, and so i made this one so that if you friended me for my fics you can add here instead if you don't want to see my rambling. that's all, and ilu guys. i'll be around~ ♥ ♥ ♥
Junsu believes in God. He believes in praying and going to church whenever he can and trying his best to live a life free of sin.
He believes in smiling and trying to make sure those around him are doing the same. He believes in working hard and doing his best, in talking to his brother at least once a day and making sure his mother and father know how much he loves them. He believes in music, believes in the notes and phrases, in every staccato as much as every legato, in every rise and fall of the waves of emotion and sometimes maybe he believes in those more than the lyrics falling off of his tongue.
He believes in life. He believes in happiness as much as sadness, in good and bad and everything in between.
But more than all of that, more than anything, Junsu believes in Yoochun.
He believes in Yoochun more than he would like to admit to himself. He believes in that smile, believes in every inch of his face and his heart and he wants to hold onto that belief forever.
He wonders if Yoochun knows how much he believes in him. It’s silent almost, barely there but just enough to pass through meaningful glances, a well placed smile or a laugh that he hopes can show just what Yoochun needs to know he’s capable enough.
Because Yoochun doesn’t believe, and Junsu can see that. Yoochun doesn’t believe in himself, doesn’t believe in anyone else and he’s been tossed around enough that he has every right to his own emotions.
Because Yoochun knows. Yoochun knows that Junsu believes in so many things, that he believes in God and love and his brother. And Yoochun is scared to believe. He’s scared because he wants to, he wants to so much and his heart is so full every time Junsu smiles at him and as wrong as they might like to tell him that it is, he loves him. He loves Junsu, but he knows that Junsu can’t. He can’t believe, not like this.
But he doesn’t know about what Junsu believes. Junsu believes in him more and more then, sees him breaking and hiding and running and trying to get closer and he smiles.
He still believes in Yoochun, believes in him with a light touch to the arm after a concert, a longer smile and a laugh and an invitation to maybe go out and get coffee sometime, just the two of them.
He believes in Yoochun whenever it’s the middle of the night and he crawls into his bed so he won’t be alone. He believes in him with fingers intertwined and a smile pressed against Yoochun’s shoulder and the lightest whisper against his ear.
It’s okay. I love you, and it’s okay.
Yoochun doesn’t know what to do with the soft kiss that Junsu’s lips have to offer and so he can only give it back, the warmth in his heart growing and swelling and spilling over into something indescribable.
He starts to believe, because Junsu believes in happiness.
And Junsu knows that happiness is Yoochun.
