But no, seriously, this was something that I came up with at work and I'm sorry if it's OOC at all are just plain...-waves hand-
Onward!
The sheer size difference between himself and his attacker was what finally knocked Basil to the ground, the air forced from his lungs as a knee slammed down into his chest.
“I don't remember you ever being this easy, Basil,” his attacker mused in that odd drawl of his, keeping down the all out laughter that was bubbling in his throat. Basil tried to glare but in the end the desire to breathe won out, the mouse coughing as air began to finally work its way back in.
Ratigan wasn't going to give him an inch though.
Claws dug into the detective's shoulders, tangling in the fabric and fur as he wrenched Basil off the ground. Once they were nose to nose, the smaller rodent's feet and tail dangling weakly as he reached up to grab Ratigan's wrists, Basil was finally able to find his voice.
“Release me!”
“But you didn't say please, my dear detective.”
In the next instant Basil felt himself slammed into the wall, vision going white with pain. A choked cry escaped him as Ratigan pinned him there, one of the hands holding his shoulders releasing and trailing those dangerous claws around to his neck. Basil instinctively jerked, struggling but all motion was ceased as Ratigan slammed his weight forward into the smaller rodent, earning himself another choked cry from the detective.
“Something wrong?” he asked, the mock concern so obvious it was disgusting. His eyes flickered wildly as a manic grin stretched his lips, tail curling behind him as the detective managed a glare. “You look like you may be in pain. Poor dear.”
“E-Enough Ratigan!” Basil managed to snap. He tried to lash out but the rat was faster, claws easily breaking skin as he grabbed the mouse's throat. Basil froze, the feel of blood trickling down his neck causing his heart to pound as everything seemed to just stop.
And then there was warm breath against his ear and a shiver ran down his spine. Basil forced his eyes closed as Ratigan chuckled softly.
“Enough? Oh, but we are far from through, detective. Far from through.”
