A/N: An idea I got based off the current roleplay that Cloud and I are doing. What if they had met when they were little?
Back and forth, back and forth.
The swing’s motion was sort of soothing in a way. It was slow and gentle and fun at the same time.
At least, as fun as swinging by yourself could be.
Small feet pushed at the ground making the swing move back and froth. The small feet belonged to a rather sad, green-skinned twelve-year old who wanted nothing more than a friend.
But the other kids thought he looked weird and said he couldn’t play with them.
So he had found a swing set that no one bothered with anymore and set about using it. He wasn’t sure how long he’d been there, all he knew was that being alone sucked.
“You can say that again.” An amused voice said and the boy startled for two reasons. One, he hadn’t realized that he’d been talking out loud and two; he hadn’t even seen the boy before him approach. It was like he had appeared out of thin air.
“Did I scare ya? Didn’t mean to! I don’t bite, promise!” The white haired boy said with a big grin. “My name’s Tommy!”
“Ah…”
“What’s your name? HEY! That’s a cool shade of green! Can I touch it?”
“W..What?” The boy on the swing squeaked, blushing a bit. Tommy giggled and disappeared suddenly and the other boy squeaked as the swing was pulled backwards.
“I’ll push you! Swinging isn’t any fun if you can’t go high!” With that, Tommy pushed the swing forward, making the other boy squeak again. He kept pushing him, both boys giggling as Tommy ran under the swing as he pushed it up, running back around in time to push again.

It was getting dark by the time they both decided to stop and Tommy tugged the other boy off the swing.
“That was fun! We should play again tomorrow!”
“Okay.” The other boy said with a giggle, green cheeks flushed. “I better go though. My momma will worry.”
“Don’t forget! Tomorrow, same place!”
“I won’t forget!” The other called as he headed off. Tommy kept waving, a big grin on his face as he watched his new friend leave. It was then that he realized something.
“Hey! Hey wait! What’s your name?” The other boy stopped and looked over his shoulder, smiling brightly.
“My name’s Victor!”
