Originally uploaded by junquegrrlEric came home and I went to bed at 7pm, slept 'til 1am! Woot! I did toss & turn a little, but I got at LEAST five hours of SLEEEEEEEEEEP!
It's now 2:42 am, Violet's just knocked back about three oz. of formula and is sleeping on my chest. I'm watching last week's Top Chef on Hulu and enjoying a rare breeze through the window screen. All is quiet in our household :-)
Yesterday I took this pic of the three of us. I have no idea why no one thought to do this before now. I sorta would have liked a picture of the three of us right after she was born... then again, things were a little crazy at the time!
Violet DOES sleep a lot, but because she wakes up crying every time I oh-so-gently put her down, it means I have to hold her ALL THE TIME and I can't sleep like that. I mean, occasionally I've nodded off while she's on me, but it's rare.
Anyway, June dropped off dinner yesterday, leaving a bag with plastic containers of food and a bag of ice on our stoop on her way to work. So thoughtful! Tonight July is coming over (yeah, we have friends named both "June" and "July"), also with food. Lovely! We are very, very lucky to have such awesome friends.
Okey dokey, gotta run. Little Lottie is stirring :-)
