3 am
Originally uploaded by junquegrrlToday being Eric's first day back at work, last night was my first time being in charge of any and all feedings between 1 am and 6 am. Unfortunately, baby girl has developed a habit of busting out screaming every time I try to put her down, so I was up that whole time :-P
Eric took care of her from 6 am to 8:30 when he went to the office, so I got to sleep then.
For the rest of the day, though, she's needed to be in my arms or she screams her tiny head off. What makes this all the more frustrating is that she's too small for any of the baby-wearing contraptions I have, so I am truly stuck. I can't get up and do stuff, let ALONE go for a walk with her or do errands. Next week she should be up to 8 lbs, so we can give the Baby Bjorn a shot. Until then... I'm sort of immobile.
Today that meant that I only got to pump four times instead of eight, that I got a 40 minute nap and didn't get lunch until 3:30.
I'm exhausted!!!
I know it won't always be this tough. But man, I sure do appreciate Eric all the more right now...
He did grocery shopping this evening and is now making us dinner. Love that man...
