The bit about the Riverlands vs. Winterfell (earth vs. Hades) was definitely the easiest comparison to draw and the easiest way the myth fit - that, and the fact that Hades was so feared/hated by those on the 'outside' when really he's just doing what he's gotta do, rulin' the Underworld. Others were harder/I had to adjust (Ned doesn't really seem like the kidnapping type, even if Robert-as-Zeus would totally be the type to be like "PARENT DOESN'T APPROVE? KIDNAPPING = TOTALLY LEGIT OPTION." XD) so I had to tweak both the ASOIAF universe (assuming the Wall fell and the Neck became a sort of 'new Wall', assuming the betrothal/wedding was more of an implicit threat to Tully rather than an alliance from the start) and the myth. And oooooh, Hoster Tully, I had to have him kind of spewing superstition. NOT THE BEST CHOICE, BRO.
I am trying to be more productive!!! XD I have a few ideas kind of brewing, and I'm hoping I can get something together for the next gameofships challenge (I kind of flailed on the daily prompts), and that soon I'll be back to my regularly scheduled word-vomit. XD
