My Jrock Muppets, concept take one!
*CLACK*
Here's the deal: It's one of those "would-be-world-beater-goes-to-big-city-to-be-star" things. The obligitory human in the story is named Kai, for the now. He plays bass. He wants to make a band. He goes to Tokyo (like you do) to get a job and accumulate funds and band members. He brings his friend Sawa
He plays keyboards and sometimes a saxaphone. He's the "hand-puppet" character. No, I'm not sure what he is, sometimes these critters just spring fully-formed into my brain without explaining such things. I had Domoto Tsuyoshi from that Domoto Brothers show in mind when I drew him, though, for some reason.
Second band member roped in is Tsubasa.
He is a dragon. He's the vocalist. I had a dream a while back about hide singing "LEMONed I Scream", the live version, only hide was a dragon! (Have you all figured out what my favorite Jrock song is yet?) I would sell my firstborn to see a dragon singing a cover of that song! Well, this dragon is a big hide fan. He's not so much Muppety as the kind of animatronic they used in "Dinosaurs" or "Labyrinth", a full-body costume. He's the vocalist, and has a tremendous sense of confidence. He's a big X-japan freak, but he met, say, Yoshiki in person (which he would in the movie, hopefully), he'd not be the sort to get "star-struck" or anything. His hair is naturally pink, so he has to dye the back black for the hide 'do. XD
And, they find a guitarist, Silver.
I really don't know what she is. She, or something like her, was designed a while ago as a costume experiment design, having to do with fiber-optics. She has fur and feathers, and the feather edges will glow when she is happy. I think her species is from the moon, but that has nothing really to do with the story. Silver is a very good guitarist, she loves to play, but isn't confident about others hearing her. Mostly because she has three older sisters, all musicians, all extremely good, and she doesn't think she's as good as them. And I wanted a girl in the band! There's not a whole heck of a lot of Jrocker femmes, I notice. Rarer still are co-ed Jrock bands. If I am mistaken, do let me know, but that is how it seems to me, and it's kinda a shame.
The last guy, I haven't got a new pic for, yet. He's the poor bird getting gullet-checked in the last post:
His name is Axle, and like I said before, is based on a puppet I myself made in high school. He's the drummer, and they gangly klutz of the band, and is a very friendly guy.
Now I need to figure out how to pull the Jrockers and the Muppets into the show, and get them to cross paths. *makes thinking noises* I'll get back on that...
