okay so i'm making up my schedule for next semester and it sucks hard. I look up the outline of recommended classes for that semester for my major and there's like 13 credits there and then i have my honors class that i have to take so that's another 4 credits; 17 already. i wanted to take this honors seminar that i need to graduate with next semester with this microbio lab over spring break. but that'd put me up to 20 cred and i just can't do that. so here's my schedule as of now:

BMB 322 - Biochemistry MWF 8-8:50AM
BMB 323 - Biochemistry lab T 1:10-3
BMB 420 - Pathogenic Microbiology and Serology MWF 11-11:50AM
BMB 421 - Pathogenic Microbiology and Serology lab M 12:30-1:30PM
CHY 252 - Organic Chemistry II - MWF 10-10:50AM
CHY 254 - Organic Chemistry II lab - R 1-5PM
HON 112 - Civilizations: blah blah blah - MW 9-9:50AM; T 3:30-5:15PM

so how much does that suck? i am looking forward to bmb 420 tho, that's like what i want to do with my life!

so i went to this microbiology society (yeah shut up) meeting last night and played microbiology jeopardy...i even got a question or two but i knew a bunch more. my team came in second by 100 points. pretty cool, it was all grad students and such so i was a bit intimidated but it was fun...good times were had by all. there's a trip to orlando in may with them that i'm gonna try and go on.

and guess who might be an ra. yeah this girl. i got the application, went to the meeting and i think i'm gonna apply for the spring semester. i've seriously gone from having a terrible ra to having an awesome ra in two years so i dunno, it motivated me to be one. i know how much of a difference it can make on your year and i think i'd be pretty good at it. also, i'm still painfully shy at times so i'm hoping this will make me more outgoing. anyways, nothing definite, just applying; i'm sure there are people better suited than me so i'm not getting attached to the idea. i might just get a job in one of the labs next semester, but anyways. yeah so that's the update from maine, later lovas
