Its a month from the final exams, and a month and a half from graduation. Like every other good citizen, I've been fulfilling my social responsibility to the world by commencing on an aggressive hunt for a job.
Being in Brisbane while most of the jobs are in Sydney and Melbourne, I find myself subjected to numerous phone interviews. While I'm hardly daunted by interviews, phone interviews on the other hand, ain't exactly my thing. For starters, I don't enjoy phone conversations for extended periods, as my girl can attest to. I find greater comfort in face to face situations. At least, you can read the body language of the person you're talking to. Immediately, you can sense if you are droning on for too long, or if they are bored, etc. You can't do that on the phone and that scares me.
Coupled with the stress factor over the exams, I think this is gonna be another month of thrills and spills, with greater emphasis on the latter
