Saw my first opera some normal hours ago with
stanzimarini and got to hear someone sing The Queen of the Night aria. I'm so happy I got to see a Mozart creation (though the songs were all in English) before my birthday, it's like a dream come true!
This is also my first birthday to have spent outside and with a non-family (but a very good friend), and I'm glad I still live to speak about it, lol.
EDIT:
Moving on.
After a brief sleep (from 3 to 6:30 am I think) at
stanzimarini's place, I went to church where my birthday was announced twice (we have two services every Sunday), and with a lot of people greeting me and shaking hands, it felt really good that for once, I was glad to be part of society. I got text greetings and even a phone call from relatives.
I think what surprised me the most was the fact that I received a lot of birthday greetings over on Facebook. It is surprising, since it was only this year that I opened my account to local friends with my real name on it, plus last year's birthday was dampened by/forgotten because of the Ondoy ruckus. So don't blame me if I actually endeavored to reply to each one. And anyway, it is achievable, because probably compared to active Facebook users, it's not a lot, I think about 30 or less? Even if it was a lot of work to thank each and every one for their greeting, it's the only way I can show my appreciation, right? Harr.
After service, we went home to eat a very late lunch, stopping by SM to buy food and get me a cake. I think I nearly pigged out. XD I also couldn't help but sleep afterwards, and I was surprised to wake up at 6 or 7 pm, with Papa playing games on his computer and my sister reading manga on mine. Mama made spaghetti for dinner and we ate that plus the cake.
Fun birthday. It's not too bad being twenty-three, huh?
