Yay! I finished episode 2! I thought it would take forever, you know? As episodes 3, 4 and 5 are all done, I might be unable to resist the urge to watch them all at once, but as I am trying to avoid too many pending posts for this newfound LJ project, I will try my very best to watch them in moderation. I just feel so lucky that episode 6 is taking a long time in torrent since it helps a lot dealing with temptation. Hahaha, temptation. That cracked me up.

Title: Ryuusei no Kizuna (Bound by Shooting Stars)
Subber: SARS Fansubs
Episode: 02 of 10

Not-so-much-of-a-Summary:
The episode opens on the night of the murder after the police are informed of the event. Kouichi answers questions from the detectives as part of the investigation. He narrates in detail what happened after they got home. Taisuke is in shock about what happened, while Kouichi preferred not to wake up his sister as it would be the last night she'll be able to sleep peacefully. Kouichi is filled with remorse, shedding tears while repeatedly saying that he just wanted to see the shooting stars (cue opening credits).

Shizuna is having problems finding another job. She encounters Takayama in Tai's DVD shop, and the two consult Kouichi about getting revenge on Shii's former superior but they only get a boring lecture from Kouichi. Flashback to November 1993, the following morning, Taisuke recovered from shock and was able to give a description of the man he saw running out of the back door on the night of the murder.

Back to present, the detectives visit Kouichi again to ask for the whereabouts of Taisuke, as they have found a lead and would need the latter to identify the man who resembled the sketch of the culprit but Kouichi tells them that he has no way of contacting Taisuke. Upon hearing about the lead, Taisuke expressed willingness to cooperate, but Kouichi tells him of the reasons why they have to catch the culprit themselves. The siblings run a fruitless search around place mentioned by the detectives in hopes of getting an identification of the man in the sketch.

Flashback, the brothers are then asked for minor changes in the house that may lead to more clues, and Kouichi pinpoints an out-of-place umbrella, something that no one in the family owned. Shizuna wakes up and asks for their parents. As Kouichi was told not to tell Shizuna of the real reason their parents are gone, the girl proceeds to make paper cranes to give their parents once they get to visit them in the hospital. Kouichi eventually tells her the truth which she doesn't believe.

While in a cafe with his siblings, Kouichi gets an idea on how to cheat Takayama out of some money. Kouichi encounters a drunk Togami in George's curry shop who passed out while talking endlessly about hayashi rice, and has to stay overnight. The memory of the day when Kouichi's father taught him how to cook hayashi rice led to Kouichi making some for Togami to eat in the morning. As Togami moodily refused to "eat something so heavy early in the morning" (preferring Hayashi-san rice), Kouichi took what he made over to Tai and Shii's place so they can eat together.

While eating, Shii receives an email from Takayama with news of his accident, which turned out to be a perfect opportunity to launch Kouichi's 'dorama'. Entitled "Delusional Chief Clerk", Shizuna is to play the role of Minamida Shiho, a private hospital nurse with the tsundere characteristics that fit those of Takayama's sadist-masochist preferences and Taisuke is to play the role of Komiya Yasushi, Shiho's sempai from school.

Ariake 3 Production
Takayama Hisanobu: Delusional Chief Clerk Part 1

Cast:
Takayama Hisanobu as Chief Clerk Takayama
Ariake Shizuna as Minamida Shiho
Ariake Taisuke as Bank Employee Komiya Yasushi (the new guy)

Producer: Ariake Kouichi

Notes:
I sort of did my best, but I know there's a lot of room for improvement. I may rewrite the first entry so I can add a key points without sounding so dragging.

Comments:
I really like the mini-dramas that Kouichi writes, and the stalker-like way he gets back at people. He needs a life, haha. I felt bad for him when the 'Ariake 3' that he came up with was called lame, but I couldn't help but laugh at his expression either. And those stickers! XD And why does Erika have to be so pretty? Shii's various hairstyles and make-up are pure love, and I completely look forward to other roles that Kouichi would have her do.

By the way, is it just me or is there a possibility of KouichixShizuna ship?
