0058: J(28) and M(24)

I never got around to posting a proper birthday greeting for my ichiban, the Great J, MatsuJun, Matsumoto-sama, Junnosuke, Jun-kun, Matsumoto Jun. So here it is. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JUN! ♥ (albeit, very belated).

I did tweet a couple of #J28 thingamajigs for the trend attempt this year, (and of course, Michael Jackson's birthday, which trended on the 29th and 30th of Jun-month, botched things up for the effort of our pretty DoS's fans) but what took most of my energies and concentration was my attempt at a birthday fic for my lovely J.

Fortunately, I was able to make it on time despite my initial misgivings and general lack of confidence in my writing...not to mention that the concept/idea wasn't mine to begin with, even though I haven't seen anything like it within the Arashi fandom. (That is, of course, highly debatable, as I've only been around the fandom for a year and a half-and-what-the-hell-do-I-know-about-Arashi-fanfics?). I've always been a fan of that particular Fanfic Lounge idea, and I never forgot it (it's been...how long? Seven years?) and I just had to wonder how things would be if there's something similar for the J-fandom as a whole. So I wrote it.

It was supposed to be a one-shot, but I didn't know how to end it. The thing with the Mary Sue just randomly occurred to me that I had no inkling on how to solve that particular hiccup for the Realm, thus Parts Two and Three had to be written. They were rather properly continuous, and on hindsight, I really should've stopped at three chapters. Who cares if there was no conclusion for that bloody meeting? Parts Four and Five felt disconnected, and had I the wisdom to acknowledge the potential of A Sequel Of Proper Timing, I could've had something better. THEN again, this is, technically, my first fanfic attempt in the Arashi fandom, so I'm imploring whoever-cares' forgiveness. I shall not do it again, and will definitely remember that I can always write something more for an AU if I'm not bound by chapters.

After all, that was how Fox Den bloomed into the collection (however incomplete) that it is right now.

Anyhow, I'm conceited enough to time the finale on my 24th birthday, LOL. Since the first chapter was for Jun's 28th birthday, why not have the last on mine and go full circle? Yeah, whatevs. But I did it, so BITE ME. After all, I did spend my birthday writing that stuff and playing on Pottermore (oh, and some schoolwork too, hahaha). It's a little gift of indulgence, especially since Papa wasn't home and I had NO CAKE. No Cake would've been effin depressing if not for the little haven that was the Internet. I thought it was perfectly justifiable to sacrifice what little dignity the final chapter had, just so I could finish the poor story. Heh. I am evil.

I'm not giving up on writing fics. And I've grown quite fond of the Trainee, so maybe there really is still more of this Green Room AU in the future. And it's possibly A Sequel Of Proper Timing, if I'm able to wing it. Har.

By the way, to anyone who felt insulted by the jabs on the fanfic trends I put in the story, don't worry, it's not you. Or it might be you, but I never meant for it that way. Crack is crack, it's nothing personal. Loves~!
