I hope that I don't sound like I'm complaining because if I never see any of the vermin that would be fine by me. I'd be cool with them not eating my food and staying the fuck out of my room. Realistically, what I think is happening is that they've outsmarted us. How? I don't know. Let's just say that their superior intellect and instincts have us at a disadvantage. That, and we're a bunch of pussies.
Anyway, I saw Robbie Fulks at 12 Galaxies tonight. He tore the place down. Figuratively speaking, of course. He played everything from Honky-Tonk to rockers to ballads, covered Johnny Cash and Michael Jackson, and was funny as hell. Pretty good-sized crowd for a school night, too.
I've been attempting to be selective about the shows I go to because I'm going to be on a tight budget this coming school year but this weekend I'm going to see The Heavenly States on Saturday, Hater on Sunday and the entire International Pop Overthrow festival for 7 days straight next week. I'm not budgeting very well.
