We're 'GO' Houston

My roommate's dad set rat traps today and I just heard the sounds of scurrying rodent in the kitchen. I'm nervously waiting for the *snap* and I'm worried that these guys won't fall for it. I'm worried because if we don't get them the first time, I know they'll regroup, organize and strategize. First, they cut the power to the house, leaving the cable intact but disabling the TV. Diabolical little shits. Next, they take out local cell towers and hide the car keys, effectively cutting us off from the outside world. Aww, who am I kidding, they're just gonna eat my feet while I'm sleeping.

We have two industrial strength mechanical traps and two sticky traps. The mechanical traps would definitely break a finger and easily a rat's neck but I think that the sticky traps are just going to piss it (them) off. I don't even want to go out there to pee. The rats rule the night. I'm just gonna stay in my room until the sun comes up.

On a brighter note, I just discovered that I love podcasts. Wow, beats the hell out of visiting a bunch of websites, digging through their archives and then streaming the content. So much better. The only thing missing now is the iPod. Yes, enjoying podcasts on the fringe via iTunes. Step into the 21st century, you say? I want to...but something keeps holding me back. Is anyone using the calendar in their iPod as their organizer? If so, how well does it work for you?

Oh, no...I have to pee. Wish me luck.
