SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has refused to spare the life of gang founder Stanley Tookie Williams, scheduled to be executed after midnight.

I'm torn on this situation. I am for the death penalty in certain situations, but I find it hard to decide where I stand on this one. Maybe he murdered 4 people in 1979, but since he has been incarcerated he has done a great deal to get the message out there that gangs and gang violence are not all they are cracked up to be. Look at the books he wrote for children. Look at the good that has come out of evil. I dunno... I kind of wish they would keep him around so he could continue to speak on the side of non-violence...
