[stolen from mic]

1. Name: Julie

2. Age: 20, only 5ish months till the big 21 (which happens to land on Thanksgiving this year :/)

3. Location: I am living at home, in my old room which my parents just moved my brother out of, but I still have my apartment in the city.  Our lease isn't up until August 31st so most of my stuff is still there and I plan on spending weekends there every once in awhile.

4. Occupation: I am back at Careerbuilder helping out in the facilities department.  I am doing much less front desk work b/c of the temporary receptionist they hired, which is always a plus, but they still have yet to give me anything to do.  So until then I have facebook, a coloring book, sudoku, and The Catcher in the Rye to keep me busy.

5. Partner: Jason Szeto.  I met him a little over a month ago and it has been amazing ever since.  He treats me better than anyone ever has and makes me so incredibly happy.  I'm the luckiest girl in the world.

6. Kids: None, thank you very much.

7. Brothers/Sisters: Becky- just got married at the end of April to Ryan, which means she is now Becky Magee.  They are moving into their new house this weekend and she is going to be adding AP Psych to her teaching schedule next year at the high school she works at, which is amazing because it is the first AP her school has offered.  Ryan- my new brother in law has been working with ESPN a lot lately, working on moving his way up in the sports broadcasting world, and was actually recently hired to work on the Cubs Sox series this weekend. Mike- is going to graduate school at DePaul next year (WOOT!) and he just got a job working at Notre Dame church in chicago, which means he will be moving out of the house soon and living in the city. Yay for independence!!  Molly- Is gonna be a SENIOR!!!  She is thinking seriously about going to school in Colorado, but is still a little torn between there and Chicago.  She wants to eventually open her own bakery (preferably in Chicago, hence the hesitation with going away) and has been practicing her baking skills any chance she gets (yum!).

8. Pets: Tony, our parakeet.  He is my dad's best friend and it is getting a little ridiculous.  He use to be afraid of EVERYTHING, and now he is only afraid of my mom (which she is a little bitter about).  He tolerates everyone else, but he only LOVES my dad.  Any time my dad is in sight and Tony is not in his cage, he flies to my dad and just sits on his shoulder forever.  My dad loves it and likes to pretend that Tony loves everyone just as much as he loves him even though it is OBVIOUS that the bird has favorites (my brother gets a little more attention too b/c he looks like my dad)...apparently Tony is glad I'm home, lol.

9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
- Work: It's only big because it takes up so much time.
- DG: This past year I join a sorority, Delta Gamma, and it has completely changed my life.  It is a lot of work and a huge time commitment, but I absolutely love it.
- School/figuring out my future:  I am going to be a junior next year, which means I am going to have to declare my major and I have yet to find something that I really want to do :/  Let's hope that finance proves to be as great as I hope it will be.

10. What did you go to school for? Business, but I have yet to figure out my focus.

11. Parents: I love both my mom and my dad, but I must say, I'm glad I am not home with them more often than I need to be.  They are both amazing, on their own and together.  But they are also both insane, on their own and together, and every once in awhile it is just a little too much for me to handle.  Thank goodness for Molly.

12. Who are some of your closest friends? Katie, Tiffany, and Lisa are irreplacable.  Even if we don't see eachother for months, we always make sure to get together whenever we can and fill eachother in on everything that has happened.  Normally this is done at Starbucks, but the location does not really matter as long as the 4 of us are together.  Jen and Kaitlin are amazing.  We all just started hanging out this year, and I couldn't imagine college without them.  We are currently working on finding an apartment for next year :)  Christina and Jackie feel like family to me now, we all met last year in Uhall and decided to live together this year.  Even though living with someone can sometimes be stressful, I couldn't be luckier to have had such fantastic roommates.  I am really going to miss them next year, especially Jackie because I know I will be less likely to see her and next year is her last year here.  I am so lucky to have all of these people in my life, without them I would be nothing.
