my meeting with guidance wasn't as nearly as horrible as i had expected.
my classes thus far; american studies (they said they'll see how i do til the semester is over & if i'm doing well i can move to AP from there), english (likewise for honors, although i rather not be in honors english; the teachers are always douche bags), honors german iii (yeah, so i'm supposed to make up the last month of german ii & a half of the year in german iii, & honors is the only course they offered. ps: i miss herr roscoe), honors chemistry (ha, i'm up for another ROUND!), alg ii & trig, law i.
i'm fairly pleased although german iii? i suppose i could catch up but they told me if i was struggling they'd just give me another elective. i rather not give up german because its the only language (other than russian) that i'm interested in learning. i doubt i'll have many problems, german has been my best class the past two years (deutsch at the anc is extremely easy). ha, yeah i'm taking honors chemistry. i figured i all ready took a nearly impossible to pass course (at least for me) i might as well give the public school one a shot. maybe i'll have a chance at a decent grade now?
they said some things that REALLY pleased me. like the fact that my junior year thus far will NOT be on my transcript. this means i have another chance at college!!! i mean, i did before but my chemistry grade was wretched. now i get to retake two courses i needed improvement on (one drastically, another not so much but it could help) & improve my grades in them. this works out so well.
it was funny i mentioned taking honors american studies & he looked at my grade from last year & said it wasn't too impressive. i go "what are you getting at?"... "i'm sure you're very intelligent but don't underestimate abington's difficulty", ah man. when we left the office my mom said that she wondered what he would have said if i was actually as cocky as i can be, i was being my calm, collected, extremely toned down self. "yeah hi, um i'm used to about four hours of homework per night... i can handle an extra math worksheet" (quote from today).
but yeah, the registeration guy was pretty cool & he even let me list names of people who i wanted to have classes or lunch with. i named gabby, tiffany, rose, becky, rachel, and i should have named a million other people but i was at a loss of names.
OH YEAH, hahah. the guidance conseler wanted to know where we were at in our honors chemistry course when i left. i just sat there with a glazed over look on my face "UMMMMM". i felt like such a douche bag, i felt like i was being tested on the spot. i remembered as soon as i left what we were working on but it was too late. electromagnetic waves.
i start either tomorrow or after break depending on how fast it takes him to fix up my schedule. i'll find out by two pm.
