This week I had my second speech for public speaking class, involving the use of visual aids. I decided to do mine on theatrical and sfx makeup, so I worked up a few examples over the weekend. They're pretty basic, but I thought I'd share them with you guys.

Also, warning, the last one was used as an example of horror/graphic makeup - if you don't want to see zombie face v.2, then browse through until before the end. (I put it as the last pic)

I little expressive/exaggerative. Claire says this looks like how I draw mad faces in my artwork, hahaha.

A little exaggerated and comedic. Supposed to be a fop. Imagine a powdered wig, if you will. Hoho. <3

Historical or period appropriate, like for civil war reenactments or stuff that requires accurate facial hair.

Feature enhancement and aging. A little wax and prosthetics, tons of makeup.

Just some crazy sci-fi stuff, done with basic makeup. I needed an example of science fiction, so thanks megu_megu for the idea on that one.

Fantasy makeup, which is basically "anything goes", it's just being creative and stuff. Latex, prosthetics, fake appendages, etc. I'm a fish.

---------------- (okay, putting a warning again, in case you clicked without reading above. Last pic is graphic makeup. You are warned.)

Examples of blood and guts are my favorite. 8D Use of a prosthetic jaw, latex, fake blood, and (my favorite) toilet paper. I always have fun doing zombie makeup.
