Post-Fanime Shenanigans

As if Fanime 08 wasn't enough of a party, I actually took two people home with me! Mel and Claire stayed over for three days before finally heading home this past Thursday. Figured I'd put up these pics before I get on with the millions of actual con pictures. :D

Claire, Mel, and I went to Safeway and picked out stuff for dinner, and our picnic the next day. Everyone was crowding into the kitchen while I tried to cook. Funny how the second I grab a sharp object, everyone suddenly needs a glass of water.

Finally bullied everyone out of the kitchen. I look so hardcore in my lacy, flowery apron.

Dinner for my family, and my two special guests. :D I love cooking!!! I just made some easy Italian.

Caprese salad. <3 I could eat this stuff all day.

Pasta purses filled with ricotta and brie, sitting on top of a bunch of spaghetti. Cooked up some seasoned then cubed chicken breast, and added it to my homemade sauce. Lots of garlic, guys. LOTS.

After filling our bellies, we watched a few hours of bad subtitled Gankutsuou. Will Macymelon ever prauvil in love? And Alber, why does your mother have a photograph of the CUNT? I love you Chinese subtitles, god I love you.

The next day, we picked up a lovely young woman from the downtown bus station. She agreed to picnic with us in the cemetery.

Picnic time! The place was gorgeous, and we had perfect breezy weather almost all day. The cemetery security kept driving by and waving at us.

I couldn't be bothered to pose, the sandwich was too delicious.

Natwich

Nadiawich

Melwich

Even our cups are fancypants.

Nadia and Mel, making kiss for the camera. <3

My saucy young boy! <3

Daddy is a gangster.

No really. Daddy is a gangster.

Our little girl! <3

Claire looks like a gorgeous model. <33333

Mel serenades the ladies.

MAKESHIFT GLASSES! All olden day glasses looked like this. Fact.

Here I am crafting some on-the-spot raspberry tartlets.

Apparently eating leads to dandy-esque naps.

I grab a few cherries while we stroll around the yard.

We brought flowers for all our new friends. <3

I contemplate the books, while the aristocrats continue their frivolous ways.

In case anyone wondered how Mel became a strawberry, here is how. Hooray for late night dye parties.
