New Year's Resolution Week 21 part II
I am getting too many suggestions, so I am increasing my workouts in order to keep. Plus, with getting ready to go to Vegas next week, the stress is mounting.
Went by Amy's looking for the illusive Tito's Dude. They didn't have it today but they did have Fuzzy Navel.
"Like an adult Dreamcicle with a hint of peach," says the counter girl. "Allllllll Riiiiiiiiight," she says when I order one. What with counter girls in Austin all saying Alllllll Riiiiiiight? They sound like Midwestern salesladies during the Nixon administration.
All Vegas cocktail waitresses affect the same nasal drawl. Now 20-something girls in Austin are sounding the same. If this is what the are replacing Valley Girl Speak with, It's not much of an improvement.
Anyway the ice cream. Fuzzy Navel. Peach Schnapps, orange juice and sweet cream ice cream. Very rich, very fluffy and delicately nuanced--a real winner. Orange flavors hit the side of my tongue as the peach schnapps hit the roof of my mouth. Flavor lasts from start to finish. Texture so rich as to be almost buttery.
